Kolašin is the only Montenegrin city with two full seasons. In winter, from December to March, ski resorts Kolašin 1450 and Kolašin 1600 are open, and hotels and apartments are full on weekends and holidays. In the summer, hikers, cyclists and visitors to Biogradska gora come, so the facilities are open from June to September. The winter season requires a different maintenance regimen than anywhere else on the coast. Snow, salt and moisture enter the facility on shoes and equipment, so the entrances, corridors and staircases require cleaning several times a day. Ski equipment, wet clothes and drying areas add to the burden of maintenance, and slippery floors at the entrance are a risk that is addressed with absorbent mats and regular mopping. The structure of the facilities is mainly touristic - hotels and mountain apartments, cottages, restaurants and cafes in the center and next to the ski resorts. New apartment complexes built in recent years have also brought regular maintenance work for common rooms, corridors and garages. In the off-season, in April and May and in October and November, general cleaning of the facilities and preparations for the next season are carried out. This is the period when larger jobs are contracted, because the facilities are not in operation, so work can be done without interruption.
